Lamp from Ice-Cream Stick

When my elder one was in 6th grade, her teacher asked all kids to make something from ice-cream stick.

Her instruction was clear no pen stand , no photo frame and other common stuff. It has to be something different.

After lot of surfing the net and looking for ideas, we decided to make a table lamp.

This was the first time I let her use hot glue gun.

The entire lamp had three layers.

 

1. Bottom was made out of fruit basket that can be made by arrananging pop-scicles in a pentagon or hesagon shape. One layer on top of other.
2. The middle layer was made of triangles made from popsicles arranged in random order to give that unique shape.
3. The top layer was again a hexagon but this time we had kept gaps between two layers. So that light can pass through.

Sorry the details pictures of making this was lost when my blog was hacked. I will edit blog and add it when we try and make it again.

 

For now you need to just be happy with the final result.
