Due to COVID situation, all school classes are online.
So once again we are getting ample time to do our activity based learning at home.
This year Ms L is learning Math and Science from her Grandfather (my father) and French from her elder sister.
But I still manage to squeeze in some fun games and activity in between.
This is a game that I made for her to memorize squares and cubes of numbers till 19.
I have made two sets of laminated cards for her
-
Squares from 1 – 19
-
Cubes from 1 – 19
Squares she already knows , but this is just for revising.
Cubes is something that she is trying to memorize now.
You can play this with 2-3 players.
First evenly distribute the card among 2 or 3 players.
Start with player who has 2 x 2 (if playing squares) or 2 3 (if playing cubes).
The first person reads aloud “I have (the card details) and who has (next number square or cube) “.
Next player will read his/her card.
The game continues till all cards are read
It is indeed a fun way to learn cubes of bigger numbers. I plan to extend it till number 30.
Try this at home , let us know how it works for you.
