Activity Book for Little Wonders

Recently I worked on a birthday party assignment. The mother had heard about me and my work from somebody and wanted me to design some fun learning kits for kids in the age group 1.5-5 years.

This was a age group where none of my already readied products would fit in.

Then it occurred to me . I decided to make a quite book for kids but not from cloth, felt or foam but a printed quite book.

There were lots of ifs and buts. Would the book be as good and engaging as the regular busy books.

Would it be sturdy and the velcro based activities would survive rough handling by few kids.

Mother of birthday boy had full trust that I would be able to come up with unique product.

So I set out with making pages. This was meant for 2-3 year olds.

I decided to put following pages

1. Shape Matching
2. Abacus for counting
3. Tic-Tac-Toe Page
4. A puzzle page
5. Since its a printed book I added a scribble pad as well

Here is how the book turned out to be

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There was a 9 piece puzzle page , for which image was provided by client.

Also a counting page where I had made a simple abacus of two sticks.

Child can move beads on that for counting.

 

The last page had a thanks note.

 

It was big hit. I got some wonderful comments for this book.
